Winter 2010 — Kno.e.sis Center
Kno.e.sis hosted an undergraduate Fabian Leuchtner from Germany.
My name is Fabian Leuchtner and I am currently studying Informationswirtschaft (a mix of Business and Computer Science) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany. In order to write my Bachelor thesis I had the great opportunity to visit the kno.e.sis center of Wright State University. Under supervision of Prof. Dr. Pascal Hitzler I spent three months from November 2009 to January 2010 at WSU. The experiences and benefits I obtained during this time are incredible. Thanks to Prof. Dr. Hitzler's extensive knowledge and the great potential of the kno.e.sis research group I was able to get answers to any issue regarding my thesis and beyond. Furthermore I got a great impression of researching and PhD studies. In addition I experienced the American culture and the life as a student. Besides all these benefits I met many great people in and out of university resulting in deep friendships.
Kno.e.sis Center grad students and mentors along with Kno.e.sis Director Prof. Amit Sheth, introduced Exchange Visitors to research in Semantic Web and Web technologies.
