My research interest is in Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Intelligent Conversational Agents. I am working on intelligent conversational agents for domain-specific personalized Healthcare.
Before joining Graduate program at Wright State University, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Information Science and Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Bangalore, India.

Research Assistance The ohio Center of Excellence in Knowledge Enabled Computing( KNOESIS), Dayton, Ohio
As part of the research team in K-Health project I work on real-time data collection, data maintenance and data privacy in the cloud. My next milestone in the project is to develop a personalized intelligent conversational agent as an extension to the currently kHealth Asthma android application.

worked as a Web developer, Admin, and content creator for knoesis.org (A Drupal-based CMS). I was responsible for the creation and management of the libraries, management of student profiles, extending the web functions, and web support.

ReacTRack- KNOESIS
We designed an intelligent conversational agent aiming to understand the personalized effects of prescribed antidepressant medications, specifically mental health changes, symptoms or potential ADRs through monitoring patient mood changes over the duration of medication cycle.

Attentiveness assessment using wearable sensors
We extracted a set of features from the data collected using active wearable sensors for various activities. Then, we use those features to train machine learning models to assess the attentiveness of users based on activity level.

We developed an IoT-based digital personalized health monitoring system to monitor the well-being of young asthma patients in real-time. The system is composed of sensor nodes and an android application which acts as an IoT gateway.

We designed a post-surgery Bariatrics patient real-time monitoring system which helps to monitor post-surgery progress and motivate patients to have proper follow-ups. The system is an Android application working in sync with wireless sensors.

Hazards SEES - KNOESIS
-GeoAnnotator, a web-based annotation tool for location names supported by geocoding REST APIs. GeoAnnnotator was developed to help researchers in developing and evaluating their methods of location name disambiguation. This tool is available online for other researchers to use and is (to the best of our knowledge) the only available tool for geo-annotations.

ALL-STAR BASEBALL GAME ONTOLOGY
-Data for every All-Star baseball game (An annual professional baseball game sanctioned by Major League Baseball (MLB)) since 1933 available from Sports Reference LLC (http://www.baseball-reference.com/allstar/) was considered as the data source and an All-star Baseball Ontology was designed and modeled using protégé. Sample RDF data snapshot was generated in turtle format based on the Ontology.

ISS (INTELLIGENT SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM)
-ISS is an intelligent surveillance system based on the idea of a surveillance system for security purpose within a building or an ecosystem. This system gets audio and video feed from surveillance systems like mobile & laptop and auto feeds itself to become intelligent over time. Assured with continuous integration and continuous deployment, this ISS allows users quickly set up a surveillance system with available accessories and keep an area under surveillance.

IGROCERY
IGROCERY is the first computer project of mine which I developed while I was in higher secondary school. It is a desktop based grocery management system that allows a grocery manager to make sales, generate bills and helps to keep track of inventory through inbuilt inventory management system.

Volunteering

  • RELIEF FUNDRAISING
    After the devastating earthquake of Nepal in April 2015, we led the fundraising program within the colleges of Bangalore in collaboration with local authorities for the supply of relief goods and rescue medicines to remote places of Nepal which were badly hit.

  • NEPAL RED CROSS SOCIETY
    Being a Life-Time member of Red Cross Society Nepal, I conducted various relief camps and got involved in various social activities like First Aid Camp, Quake Trauma Relief Camp, and disaster awareness programs.
